What everyone should do for this world?

Two days ago I read an article in 'The Hndu' regarding the dripping glaciers. I read that the water in ocean and sea are getting warmer and due to which it is expanding and occupying more land. This is mainly because of the more Co2 emission and settling and also the ice in Himalayan as well as the Antartic region are melting and the sea level is raising enormously. I recently read that near Japan the sea level has raisen abundantly and in 25 years half the mass of the land would have been swallowed up by the sea. Think of the people who are living in such areas. Where will they go?

I felt so bad after reading it. We, the whole of the human race, what are we doing this lovely world God has created for us? Are we really protecting this nature God created for us? No, was my answer. Otherwise this would have not happened.

Each and every one of us should hold a responsibility that we should reduce the emission of such harmful gases which is causing a threat to the whole of the mankind. What we can do to the environment we are living in? We can do small things by avoiding vehicles which emit a lot of smoke and Carbon di oxide and carbon mono oxide which are really harmful for the environment and damage the greeen house gases and the protecting shield on top of us all. We can do so many things like that which is good for our health as well as our beloved mother earth.

I hope all of us would have read in our lower classes in our geography lessons that how this earth formed into north and south hemispheres and how Australian continent was divided from Eurasia. So all of us should bring back the same thought in our mind and should think if same thing happens and the land portion may be occupied by the sea and the land below the sea may come above. What will happen to all of us? Then will the Mayan calender come true! All of us should give a thought and should try to protect ourselves and our generations ahead.

  1. I think I am doing my bit here. I cycle down to office and try to have lesser emission of CO2. The hidden agenda is to lose weight but whatever. LOL
